OUR DEPARTMENTS
Executive Board
The Executive Board is a body comprised of the Chief Officers of each department, including the Chief Executive Officer which serves as the Chief Officer of the Executive Board itself. Its main role is to oversee the organization in its events, projects, and department works. The Executive Board ensures that the organizational process and information flow smoothly and efficiently. It is in charge of facilitating the General Assembly and guiding it in the decision making process, making sure that every decision is informed and aligned with the mission and vision of the organization.
Brand Management
The Brand Management Department upholds and manages the overall image of organization. The department produces publicity materials for external promotion and announcements. Furthermore, document templates, reminders, and announcements are also produced for the internal use of the organization.
Finance
The Finance Department is responsible for the generation and handling of the organization's funds. The department organizes the organization's income generating projects. The department is also in charge of the accounting of the inflow and outflow of funds. The department's main goal is to be able to provide the necessary finances for EWB's activities and projects.
Human Resource
The Human Resources (HR) Department mainly handles the internship process of the future members of the organization. The HR Department also spearheads the recruitment efforts of EWB and handles all of the interns’ events. Likewise, HR is responsible in equipping the interns with the necessary skills needed to become members such as project management, community engagement, idea development, and design thinking.
Internals
The Internals Department is primarily responsible for initiatives that aim to strengthen relations among members, promote active participation in the organization's events, and provide assistance to the members especially those that concern their well-being. In addition, the department handles logistics which involves reservation of venues and procurement of materials. Furthermore, the department also performs secretariat work such as handling of documents and databases.
Operations
The operations department handles the design, prototyping, and commissioning of EWB's field projects. The department also handles the engagement with communites, to maintain rapport and gather data and input from the community for the projects.
Public Relations
The Public Relations (PR) Department is the "External Affairs" counterpart of EWB-UPD. PR aims to maintain a strong connection and memorable image to its external stakeholders, equip its members with necessary skills in public relations through an optimum internal structure, and provide the organization more opportunities through an expanded network of like-minded organizations. Moreover, PR envisions to expand ‘Engineers Without Borders’ to other universities and be known as the flagship EWB here in the Philippines, or simply EWB Philippines.
