Aquaponics

Project Aquaponics is a research based project focusing on creating an aquaponics system specified for an area in Pook Libis Barangay UP campus. In collaboration with the seniors organization within the community, the project aims to create an alternative agricultural livelihood for the community. 

Coloong

Project Coloong aims to design an agricultural floating garden by utilizing recyclable materials for the members of Brgy. Coloong Stilthouse Community in Valenzuela.

BOKASHI PROJECT

Bokashi is a bioremediation project to revitalize polluted bodies of water through the use of organic matter such as fermented rice husks, effective microorganisms (EM1), molasses, garden soil, and corn starch. 

PROJECT PURAY (2015)

In partnership with Liter of Lights, Pepsi-Cola, and AFP, EWB-UPD provided solar lamp posts to selected off-grid communities in Barangay Puray – the nearest isolated rural community from the Metro. The organization collaborated with the community members to assemble the lamp posts and install it around the area.

SEED DRIVE

After Yolanda devastated communities and plantations in Tacloban, EWB-UPD initiated a fundraiser for the rehabilitation of mangrove areas in Tacloban. This activity was done in partnership with SIBAT (Sibol ng Agham at Teknolohiya).

PROJECT BIODIGESTER 

(2017 - 2018)

EWB-UPD was able to create a prototype of biodigester – a mechanical stomach that digest kitchen and food waste to create fertilizer and biogas in Tumana, Marikina.
